Mike’s Chicken: The Best Fried Chicken in Dallas?

🐔This place is said to be the best fried chicken joint in Dallas. I took advantage of my lunch break and drove all the way from McKinney to Dallas to try it out. Surprisingly, even on a weekday, the place was bustling, and I had to wait in line. The prices are a bit higher than other fried chicken places but still reasonable. 🍗The wait was longer than expected, almost 30 minutes. Considering I still had a 30-minute drive back, I was already beyond my estimated time. The anxiety of a hardworking employee kicked in—I kept checking my Team app, fearing a sudden “how’s it going?” from my manager or a “quick call?” from my Indian colleague. 💪When I finally got my order, I rushed back home, with the aroma of fried chicken filling the car. In the end, the chicken was pretty good. The breast meat, which is pricier than other parts, was indeed the best fried chicken breast I’ve had. You can tell the oil is fresher compared to places like Chicken Express, where the “old oil” taste can be overwhelming. 💪The only downside for me is that I love the crispy batter on fried chicken. Mike’s batter isn’t as thick or crispy as Church’s Chicken or Chicken Express, but it feels better seasoned and more hygienic. It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you’re grabbing it during your lunch break. The feeling of sneaking in a treat while stuck in traffic on I-75 is reminiscent of eating instant noodles in high school during class. #FoodieLife #SharingDeliciousFood #Dallas #DallasFood #FriedChicken #WorkingLifeInNorthAmerica
