Minneapolis PhD Diary (2)
When I was learning about the history of Minneapolis, I was amazed to find out that the name Minneapolis is actually a combination of “Minnehaha” (from the waterfall) and “polis” (Greek for “city”) 🌊🌟. Over at the Farmers Market, they sell fresh produce, bread, and grains. But when it comes to meat, all I saw was salmon 🐟. 🌊🌟 There were also stalls selling fresh flowers and knitted hats. The prices aren't cheaper than the supermarket, but Americans really care about organic and homemade products, right? 🌊🌟The vendors can at least add an authentic touch to their products, making it a really unique “farmers market” 🌿🛒. In the end, I still went to Trader Joe's to do my shopping 🛒. But no matter what, I would still recommend the Mill City Museum to every friend visiting Minneapolis. It's a great place to learn about the city 🌇. 🌊🌟 #UniversityofMinnesota #UniversityofMinnesotaTwinCities
