Mixed Experience at Southern-Asian Fusion Spot šŸ½ļøāœØ

We were warmly greeted upon arrival 🄰, and since we arrived earlier than the rest of our group, the host kindly seated us near the entrance for convenience—a thoughtful touch! The interior was beautifully designed with a spacious central bar, wooden wall panels, and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere—perfect for a night out. 🌟 The menu featured creative dishes blending Asian and Southern influences—an exciting concept! Here’s what we tried: šŸž Complimentary Bread ($9 for 6 pieces) A bit pricey, but a nice way to start the meal. The cornbread stood out—crispy outside, soft inside, with a hint of honey. The focaccia and sweet potato biscuits were also tasty! 🌮 Unexpected Amuse-Bouche: Mini Tacos A fun surprise from the kitchen! Though we enjoyed the flavor, we couldn’t quite figure out what was inside. Still, a nice gesture. šŸ— Southern Buttermilk Fried Chicken The portion was generous—three large pieces! The texture was great (crispy outside, juicy inside), but the seasoning was a bit underwhelming. 🄩 Wood-Grilled Pork Ribs Our favorite of the night! šŸ˜‹ The meat was incredibly tender and fell right off the bone. The flavor was rich and well-balanced—so much better than standard BBQ sauce. We could’ve easily eaten more! šŸ– Oxtail with Hoisin Glaze The most expensive dish of the evening. The oxtail was meaty and flavorful—my daughter absolutely loved it! šŸ’– Now, let’s talk about the service. While it started off strong, things changed after the main courses arrived. Our original server seemed to disappear, and the bartender stepped in to handle our table. He was clearly stretched thin—juggling both bar duties and tables—which left us waiting longer than we should have. We waited to have our plates cleared, waited again to pack leftovers, and eventually gave up on ordering dessert altogether. šŸ˜” Given the prices and the Michelin recognition, we expected more consistent and attentive service. While the food was largely delicious and creatively prepared, the uneven service dimmed the overall experience. Final Thoughts: Great potential, but needs refinement in service coordination. We’d return for the ribs and oxtail—but hopefully with smoother service next time! ✨ #HonestReview #GoodFoodBadService #WouldReturnBut #FoodieDiary
