After trying several hyped spots (and a few hidden gems in food courts), here’s my honest ranking of Montreal’s pasta joints—gnocchi, truffle spaghetti, and more! 1️⃣ Il Miglio (TimeOut Market) | 🍅 Tomato Gnocchi 📍 705 Saint-Catherine St W | 😋😋😋 (3.5/5) Surprise find in a food court! Gnocchi was pillowy-soft, but the tomato sauce leaned too acidic. Good for a quick bite, but not mind-blowing. 2️⃣ Ragu (Le Central) | 🥩 Beef Pappardelle 📍 30 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest | 😋😋😋😋 (4/5) Wide ribbons of pasta + slow-braised beef = heavenly combo! Only downside? Slow service (worth the wait though). 3️⃣ Dinette Marcella | 🧀 Creamy Gnocchi 📍 196 Saint-Paul St W | 😋😋😋😋😋 (5/5) Creamy, cheesy, perfection. Topped with crispy fried mushrooms—chef’s kiss! Friend’s tomato spaghetti was good, but mine stole the show. Pricey but WORTH IT. 4️⃣ Foiegwa | 🍄 Truffle Spaghetti 📍 3001 Notre-Dame St W | 😋😋😋 (3/5) Carbonara + truffle = Instagrammable, but flavor was just okay. Packed on weekends (waited 20 mins).
