I loved loved loved ilmigliomontreal when I went yesterday. I only wish I could go here more during the week but it's hours of (Monday-Friday from 11:30-3) hinder me from going here at least once a week, because I would! Might be a good thing because I'd probably go more and gain 5 pounds a week from eating so much pasta. . The people behind this beautifully put together restaurant are Giovanni Rasile, Michele Mercuri, Claude Pelletier and Hubert Marsolais. Between the four of them they are also responsible for other amazing restaurants around the city such as restaurantleserpent, leclubchasseetpeche and restaurantlefilet. . Looking at ilmigliomontreal, this spot is truly a marval. From the time you walk into this 25 seat restaurant and see the long communal table, you feel that this is a place where you can come, sit, eat a great meal on your lunch break, and maybe share a story or two with your neighbour. . I remember asking, what is one of your signature dishes? The dish that if I need to base my whole experience from here on out, what would you recommend me? She answered without any hesitation, get the Carbonara. . I take one bite. One single bite. And as cheesy as it sounds transported me back to Italy. It was so rich and so creamy. The homemade pasta was cooked so perfectly. It had the right amount of spice from the pepper, the right amount of savory and sweet from the parmesan. Everything about this dish, from a simple guy who loves to eat good quality food, at a great price, loved ilmigliomontreal! . I'd recommend this place to anyone who is in the area of Mile End to try during there lunch and eat some amazing pastas at 5235 Boulevard...

Had long been told by coworkers that this place has amazing pasta for lunch! There are spots to eat in here, but it can be a little hot in the summer and most people I know do takeout.
I ordered a catering menu (keep in mind they don't deliver though!) for about 14 for a work function. Called in a week ahead of time and placed my order, and they assured it'd be ready by the time I specified for the following week. When I arrived with 2 colleagues to pick up the food, they had carefully prepared everything for us to carry out (but had anticipated we'd have a car). They quickly tried to make some changes when they realized we were walking back to the office and it was much appreciated!
The food was delicious. We ordered menu 2, which came with lasagna, salad, meatballs, pesto pasta, and a delicious strawberry dessert in individual jars for everyone. They also provided us with plates and eating utensils since we didn't have that on hand in the office (I mentioned this to them ahead of time on the call), and suggested what serving utensils we might need to bring ourselves. I then got a call the next day after our event from the manager (? Owner?) of Il Miglio to check up on how the food was and if people enjoyed it. Everyone thoroughly loved the food here and the portions were so big we had leftovers for other coworkers after our event lunch was over. And they loved it too.

Read moreI will never apologize for desiring so much pasta in my life. Fairly priced, al dente and savoury dishes- and you are going to complain about that? Give me a break.
Under Le Club Chasse et Pêche, Le Filet and Le Serpent, the most charming sibling Il Miglio was born on June 16, 2017. Il Miglio is a casual Italian restaurant that focuses mainly on the surrounding offices, but that won’t stop me from making a pit stop. They have 2 locations: Plateau Mont-Royal and Griffintown. If you have some time to spare and want quality lunch without breaking the bank, Il Miglio is truly the way to go. Their establishment consist of daily fresh pasta. That’s right, if the only thing you know is Catelli or Barilla, you’re truly missing out on the art of savouring fresh pasta.
Whoever told you that carbs aren’t good for you haven’t spent enough time at Il Miglio. Campanelle served with mushroom and truffle. I’m telling you, Italian is the only way to go.
Besides Moccione, I think Il Miglio truly stole my heart. Al dente mafaldine amatricana with a glass of wine during lunchtime is truly the only way to go. Go see Francesco and his staff at the Griffintown location and you’ll know exactly why I’m raving about this place.
The only thing that truly breaks my heart is that their location isn’t open on...
