Montreux | How delicious is the Christmas market?

The food at Montreux Christmas Market is something I highly recommend – it’s probably the most delicious Christmas market in all of Switzerland! Recommendations: 🩷 Roasted pork knuckle This roasted pork knuckle is something I have to eat every year. It can beat many restaurants in German-speaking regions, and the price is very reasonable. Such a big knuckle with sauerkraut only costs 20 francs – that’s really a great deal 😍! ❤️ Foie gras sandwich We ordered the foie gras sandwich again this year, and it’s still amazing. The foie gras is incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth with juices bursting. There are two sauces to choose from: regular mushroom sauce or black truffle sauce. This sandwich isn’t cheap, but it’s definitely worth it 👅. 🧡 Churros The photo is from last year 😂, but these are a regular snack I buy every year. You can choose to dip them in chocolate sauce (extra charge) or just have them with sugar – both are delicious. Just buy them, you won’t regret it 🍫! 💛 Sauerkraut with sausages We had this last year too. My partner, who’s from a German-speaking region, said it’s delicious – really better than the average in German-speaking areas. I’m confused: why is a dish from German-speaking regions so much better here in the French-speaking area? I guess French chefs just put more heart into it 👨🍳! 💙 Crepes Crepes are common in French-speaking regions here. They come with bananas, chocolate sauce… all kinds of sweet options. If you still have room in your stomach, they’re a great dessert choice 🥞. Of course, there’s also the classic mulled wine you find at Christmas markets, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions – perfect for anyone wanting to try it. Alright, time to act: go to Montreux Christmas Market and eat your heart out! #SwissLife #WantToRecordThisMoment #DailyFood #SwitzerlandTravel #Switzerland #Montreux #MontreuxSwitzerland #ChristmasMarket #MontreuxChristmasMarket
