Montreux – A French restaurant so delicious it’s explosive!

La Brasserie J5 French Restaurant🇫🇷 This is an absolutely fantastic French restaurant with innovative dishes and incredible flavors. In Switzerland, a country not exactly famous for its food, getting to eat such amazing French cuisine already feels like pure happiness 😊. I personally highly recommend their appetizers – they’re so delicious. First up is the pan-fried foie gras, one of my must-order dishes. The foie gras here is top-quality, not overly greasy, and perfectly cooked. The outer layer is slightly crispy, while the inside is silky and tender – never too hard or undercooked. One bite fills your entire mouth with its rich aroma; it couldn’t be more perfect 👌. Next, the Caesar salad is also a strong recommendation. As someone who doesn’t usually love salads, this one has me completely hooked. The most special part is the dressing, which has a hint of Chinese flavor (I think they add soy sauce!). The vegetables are super fresh, paired with crispy toasted bread slices – every bite is totally satisfying. What’s more, both the shrimp and chicken breast are cooked to perfection, tender and springy instead of dry and tough. As someone who doesn’t normally like chicken breast, I’m totally obsessed with their chicken salad 🥗. Also, the portion size of the salad is surprisingly large often one serving is enough to fill you up, so I suggest sharing one between two people. Another appetizer worth trying is the classic French dish, escargots de Bourgogne (baked snails). If you’re visiting as a tourist, it’s definitely worth ordering for the experience 🐌. As for the main courses, they’re more a matter of personal preference. I don’t think there are any standout dishes, but they’re all decent, so feel free to choose as you like. The prices here aren’t too high – for this level of French cuisine, it’s really good value for money. Also, their cocktails come highly recommended! The bartender is super professional and quite famous in Montreux. If you like drinks, be sure to give them a try 🍹! #Switzerland #SwitzerlandTravel #FoodieTravelDiaries #FamousFoodIEndorse #TheMeaningOfTravel #ImAFoodie #EuropeanTravelGuide
