Moody Tongue Chicago | More Than Just One Michelin Star ⭐️

Okay, maybe a little clickbaity… but compared to other one-star spots in Chicago, Moody Tongle truly stands out and shines bright! ✨ Let’s start with the downsides first. Because they offer two seatings per night, the overall pace does feel a bit rushed—you’re expected to finish the full menu in about two and a half hours. 🕒 On the flip side, though, their service is seriously professional. They manage to keep all five or six tables smoothly in sync throughout the experience. The menu leans heavily toward seafood 🐟, with the last two savory courses being red meat: pigeon and Wagyu. The amuse-bouche presentation is absolutely gorgeous—and personally, I think a great starter really amps up my first impression! 🍤 Among the mains, the King Crab Ravioli totally stood out—stuffed with royal crab and topped with a rich foam made from crab tomalley and masala curry. So flavorful! The two red meat dishes were deeply satisfying and expertly executed—classically delicious with serious skill behind them. 🍖 They offer two types of beer pairing 🍻. I went with the pricier option, and it was completely worth it! The first pairing—a Yuzu Lager—and the second—an Asian Pear Saison—brought out flavors I’ve never experienced before. Loved them so much that I went to their bar after the meal and ordered another round of each! 🍐🍋 Overall, the service was excellent (though maybe it was extra special because it was a birthday dinner 🎂). Every dish was delicious, a couple were truly memorable, and the drinks were fantastic! Aside from the pacing, the only other minor drawback is that the dining room is a bit small and the location isn’t the most exciting. 🏙️ But still—what a experience! Definitely adding this to my list of special-occasion spots. #Chicago #ChicagoDining #MichelinStar #MoodyTongue #Foodie #FineDining #BeerPairing #SpecialNightOut #GourmetExperience #ChicagoEats
