Mount Wakakusa in Nara
The entrance fee seems to be around 200 JPY? π ππ There are lots of deer resting here, and it's much less crowded than Todai-ji Temple. It's perfect for taking photos with the deer, and they might even nibble on your kraft paper bag π They have quite a strong bite! ππ If you plan to wait for the sunset, I'd recommend wearing sunglasses, as there are no trees or plants at the viewing spot to provide shade. π Menya Ryu Near JR Nara Station, I found a ramen place with decent reviews. ππ The soup is a bit salty but milder compared to many other Japanese ramen dishes. Just select your ramen from the vending machine outside, pay, and then give the ticket to the owner inside. The shop is tiny, with only four or five seats. ππ Three Japanese high school students were chatting with the owner while I sat in the corner, slurping my noodles in the dim light. π After finishing my meal, I π₯ quickly left Nara. β οΈFriendly Tipβ οΈ Popular Nara restaurants like Shika, Tsuki, and Hoshi have days off, so check in advance to avoid disappointment. ππ You might even need to make a reservation! I didn't get to try any of them π but I'm not too disappointed anymore. #Nara ππ
