π Must-Stop for Guilin Noodles on Your Way to Lake Tahoe!
We stopped at this place both on our way to and from Tahoe β itβs that good! π Located almost halfway between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe (about 1.5 hours from SF), itβs the perfect pit stop. Fill up your belly and get back on the road! ππ¨ I honestly think this spot beats all the Guilin noodle places in San Francisco!! Why? π§ Self-service condiment bar β unlimited toppings! I loaded my bowl with sour bamboo shoots and pickled beans β my absolute favorites π. πΈ No tipping required! The owner clearly states it β even though itβs a counter-service setup (which, honestly, is pretty rare and!). π§ Their mung bean soup is SO refreshing!! Perfect cool-down drink for a hot summer day π§π Iβve been twice: β Beef brisket soup noodles π² β‘ Dry-tossed Guilin noodles π I personally preferred the beef brisket soup noodles! Though the brisket itself isnβt the best Iβve ever had (one place in LA does it better), the overall flavor was delicious β and no MSG thirst afterward! π You can even request more tendon or more meat when ordering. The dry noodles were also tasty, but the roasted pork in it was a bit tough π β¦ Maybe inconsistent meat quality? Still, the noodles and condiments were so good it almost made me cry π₯Ή. π₯€ Mung Bean Soup & Soymilk: βββββ Must-order! Perfect pair with the noodles. Next time I wanna try their pumpkin cakes and side dishes β has anyone tried them? Any recommends or warnings? π #GuilinNoodles #BayAreaEats #LakeTahoe #TahoeFood #TahoeTravel #FoodStop
