Must-Try Food in Budapest | An Amazing Non-Instagrammable Restaurant

🍴 **IDA BISTRO** 🛜 **Reservation URL** via Google, WiFi password is the restaurant name in lowercase When traveling to Budapest, how could you miss out on the hidden gem that is IDA Bistro? This restaurant combines traditional Hungarian cuisine with modern French cooking techniques. The ambiance is elegant, the food is exquisite, and the service is impeccable. It’s truly a Michelin-level dining experience! 🍷✨ ✅ **Set Menu 1 (Magyar Kóstoló Menü)** I chose the set menu with goulash and slow-roasted duck leg. The beef soup is a classic Hungarian dish: slightly light yet full of flavor. The duck leg was excellent even without soaking in the soup, which had a bit of saltiness. Each dish was packed with local flavors, and the value for money was outstanding! ✅ **Foie Gras** 👉 This dish is pure luxury. The delicate and smooth texture of Hungarian foie gras, paired with steak, roasted mushrooms, and creamy mashed potatoes, simply melts in your mouth! A must-try for foie gras lovers! However, the soup base is still a bit salty, so those who prefer lighter flavors might want to avoid the sauce. ✅ **Tafelspitz (Austrian Beef Stew)** 👉 This classic Austrian beef broth dish features slow-cooked beef, carrots, and turnip chunks that are tender and fall-apart. The clear broth is refreshing and palate-cleansing, served with garlic-roasted marrow bones, bread, and four side dishes. It’s perfect for those who enjoy mild flavors. This portion is quite filling and can leave you 70% full. ✅ **Dessert**: We chose cheese dumplings and cappuccino. 👉 The texture was smooth and delicate. The cheese dumplings, which I thought might be a bit odd (as a Chinese person, I initially frowned at the sight), turned out to be surprisingly delicious and not at all unpleasant. They were perfect! 🧾 **Bill**: Around 150 euros, with card payment accepted. The amount of food we ordered is suitable for three people or a couple with a hearty appetite. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 ✨ **The waiter was super professional, spoke good English, and had a great attitude.** ✔ **If you want to try Hungarian foie gras, this is one of the best places!** ✔ **The prices are mid-to-high-end, but the experience is absolutely worth it. A non-Instagrammable spot that’s definitely worth a visit!** 📍 **The restaurant is located along the Danube, roughly across from the Marriott Hotel.** #food #Hungary #BudapestFood #BudapestMustTry #MustEat #BudapestFoieGras #TravelTips
