We were melting from the scorching sun after a visit to Buda Castle when we stumbled into Ida Bistro where the Maitre’D was welcoming & even placed a fan near our table. The restaurant in itself was tastefully set up. The elderflower & mint soda completely hit the spot in its refreshing flavours. We started with the duck liver terrine with the fruit chutney & brioche. It was simply presented but delicious. The slow roasted duck leg with cabbage & mash potato was delicious & homely. We completed the meal with the cottage cheese dumpling with a cinnamon sour cream - utterly delicious! I loved that it wasn’t overly sweet & the flavours were beautifully melded.
