Must-Try Mediterranean Food in LA — Meat Mode Activated! 🍖🔥
Always go to Porto’s in Glendale — today switched it up! Tried this Mediterranean spot recommended by food influencer Mark Wiens, right across from Porto’s. No regrets — ate till fully satisfied. 🌸 Hummus Can’t go wrong with hummus in Mediterranean cuisine — theirs has chili powder for extra depth. Dip the thin bread they give you — perfect 👌🏻👌🏻 🌸 Saltani Kabob Must-order!!! Top skewer is ground beef, bottom is thinly sliced filet mignon — impossibly tender. Great on its own or wrapped in bread with hummus. 🌸 Shish Kabob Also filet mignon skewers, but a bit drier than above — maybe due to chunk cut? Still tasty though. 🌸 Lamb Shank A huge lamb leg 🍗 — braised till tender and flavorful (fork-tender). The lamb broth was so good we drank every drop. After lots of Chinese/Japanese/Korean food, trying something else is a nice change. Each plate ~$30 — not cheap, but portions are huge. Even if it looks like mostly rice, there’s so much meat we couldn’t finish. Vibe feels like dining in a palace courtyard — beautiful atmosphere. Walked in Sunday with no reservation (plenty of space). Big restaurant, lots of families — large tables might need booking. Meal ~$100 — took 3 boxes home + leftover bread we air-fried into crispy snacks later. #LosAngeles #LAFoodie #Skewers #MediterraneanDiet #LAEats #LAExploration #LAFoodGuide
