ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE- BLATANT DISCRIMINATION, ZERO SERVICE, AND FILTHY ENVIRONMENT!!!!! I am writing this review with immense disappointment and frankly, disgust, regarding my family's experience at this establishment on 4/16/2025 @7PM . We waited for an unbelievable 50 minutes for our dinner (four shawarma wraps, broast chicken, and hummus) and ultimately had to leave without a single bite of food. We were a party of five: myself, my husband, and our three young children. From the moment we entered, we felt unwelcome. The staff seemed to have already formed opinions about us, and their behavior only worsened as time went on. Adding insult to injury, there was a disgusting, dirty table right next to ours piled high with leftover food. This remained uncleared from the moment we were seated until the moment we were forced to leave, a testament to the staff's complete lack of attention and hygiene. We weren't even offered water and had to repeatedly ask for it before finally receiving it. What was truly appalling was witnessing customers who arrived well after us being served their food. A couple and a group of four ladies who came in at least 20-30 minutes after our order was placed received their meals while we continued to wait, our hungry children growing increasingly restless beside the uncleared mess. When we inquired about our order, the staff offered a flimsy excuse about being short-staffed. However, this excuse completely falls apart when considering that later arrivals were being served. It became painfully clear that the reason for our neglect was not a lack of staff, but rather the staff's prejudiced judgment based on our race and ethnicity. The blatant discrimination we experienced was shocking and deeply offensive, compounded by the unsanitary conditions we were subjected to. To be treated with such disrespect, to have our children go without dinner after such a long wait in a dirty environment, is simply unacceptable. This restaurant's staff are not only incompetent in their service and negligent in their cleanliness but also harbor discriminatory attitudes that have no place in any establishment. I would never, ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. The awful and disgusting behavior of the staff and the unsanitary conditions made for a truly traumatic and upsetting experience for my entire family. Avoid this place at all costs if you value fair treatment, expect to actually receive the food you order, and prefer to dine in a clean...

On our weekend trip to LA, knowing the enormous selections of amazing restaurants, we decided to dine here our first night. Upon entering the restaurant, it seemed semi busy, with couple of large groups in the front and back of the restaurant (a group was celebrating their birthday). We scouted out couple of empty tables, but didn't know if we should seat ourselves, or wait for them to seat us. We decided to wait by the door, but nobody came to greet or seat us. After 5 minutes of patiently waiting for someone, I decided to approach the server and ask if we should sit somewhere, or should wait to be seated. Without answering my question, the server told us to wait. We waited another couple of minutes or so, and was trying to get their attention, but we just waited there feeling ignored. At this point we wanted to walk out the restaurant, for the lack of service. Leaving, the server calls and tells us to "sit anywhere we like". Why couldn't he tell us when I initially approached him?

Nevertheless, it was late, we were hungry, therefore decided to stay. Glancing over the menu, we ordered the "Three Kabobs-choice of chicken or kafta" and "Short Loin Lamb Chops". It came with a side of Hummus, Salad, Rice, and Pita. It was creative to see various hummus options, after all, it is a hummus house. We chose the Roasted Garlic Hummus, and Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus. I like how sides came in separate plates with pita. We started with the hummus and pita, and salad. The Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus was so good, we finished it before our entrees came.

We order skewers of chicken, beef, and lamb kabob well done. But it seemed like some portions of the kabob meat were still raw and chewy from the inside, and burnt from the outside, it wasn't as great as we expected. As for the Lamb Chops, they were juicy, tender, and simply amazing-unfortunately we both devoured that, instead of the kabobs. The tomato slice and jalapeno slice were oven baked (the jalapeno was spicy). The rice quantity was on the lower side, but sufficient if you didn't finish it with the hummus.

Overall a decent restaurant, and the lamb chops were really good. They do charge an extra $1 for beef or lamb kabobs per their entrees (it's on the bottom of the menu). The Jalapeno Cilantro hummus was so good, it inspired us to attempt making it at home (still need some tweaks to make it as good as theirs). I think it's quality food for the value. I recommend and will visit again,...

This place is a Hidden Gem in the middle of Hawthorne, the Cradle of Aerospace technology. Placed in the middle of Hawthorne Boulevard right across from the ancient and former Hawthorne Mall. This place has plenty of parking. Sitting arrangements are plenty and varied you can have a booth you can have a table. The service was very excellent with the exception of maybe one of the service who was not very sharp I would say. Nevertheless everybody else picked up the slack and made my last experience very pleasant. Because of the convenience, their pricing excellence, the fact that they are not stingy at all with our servings sizes, but most of all because of their ability to amaze me with their taste every single time I been there this is definitely my favorite Mediterranean food place to go to. I have been to many other ones hands down 100% my best place to go to for now. I have had the rotisserie chicken meal last time. The different hummus tastes they have are each in their own amazing. I would maybe improve a little bit of the rice by making it bit fluffier but the taste picks up the slack. the tabbouleh salad is just full of fantastic lemon like flavor 100% fresh and it comes plenty. The first time I had mango lassi was here. That first experience send me on a journey to find more places with mango lassi and I have not found a place that can even come close to theirs. if you can overlook there their need for a renovated freshlook, you can enjoy they're the core and have the most amazing tasting Mediterranean food I have found. This is a must if you are a best food places check...

Mediterranean spot with reasonable prices, hefty portions, and absolutely delicious food. It’s one of the best places I’ve eaten at in Hawthorne. Came here on a Sunday around 5 with my parents and left absolutely stuffed. It’s located behind the mall and there’s parking available. Credit cards are accepted. Available for indoor dining (no outdoor options) and takeout. Bathrooms are available in the back. The service is super nice and accommodating. You have to get the zucchini dumplings. Even my dad (who hates zucchini because of some soggy zoodles eaten in the past) loved them. They’re super flavorful and tasty. If you get a Mediterranean sampler, you get the choice of three options and zucchini dumplings can be one of them! The falafel is super crispy and tasty too. We split two two-kebab entrees among the three of us, and still had leftovers. The kebabs were immensely moist and flavorful (particularly the kofta), which also come with salad, a generous portion of hummus, and rice. I really liked the fiery hummus and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The roasted garlic hummus is more subdued. You get plenty of pita bread. Also got a mango lassie which was very creamy and sweet. I’ll be back again the next time I have a hankering for some Mediterranean food!

A very unassuming restaurant location that sits conspicuously across from the old Hawthorne mall. A middle eastern restaurant with many of the classic staples. Interestingly enough, there are a couple of Indian goodies thrown into the menu for good measure. Samosas and Mango Lassi? Yes please! I started with the appetizer sampler, I chose the tabouleh, samosas, and Falafel. Falafel was authentic and green, not that frozen stuff too many restaurants try to pass off as "falafel". The taboueh was flavorful, with hints of mint and generous lemon juice. The lamb samosas were straight out of an Indian restaurant with mint chutney to accompany it. All were great. For hummus, I had the habanero hummus. It had a great kick and spice to it. There were some great choices for hummus to choose from and if you can't decide on one, you can always try a sampler! For the main course, I had The lamb kabobs. The kabobs were delicious, cooked just right with a great marinade. All in all, this restaurant satisfied me immensely. Prices were modest and the service warm. Needless to say, I'll be back to the hummus house
