❄️ If you're unsure where to go in Greece during winter, let me introduce you to this stunningly beautiful Christmas village straight out of a fairy tale! ✨✨ Trikala is said to be the birthplace of the god of medicine, Asclepius, in Greek mythology, and it boasts the oldest temple of ancient Greece. 🏛 🎄 Christmas Event Dates: November 29th - January 5th 🚩 Travel Route: Athens → Delphi → Trikala → Meteora Every Christmas, Trikala transforms into a festive toy and candy factory 🍬. A massive Christmas-themed amusement park 🎠, characteristic Christmas shops, and food stalls offering a variety of traditional dishes and Trikala delicacies welcome guests from all directions, turning the space into an enchanting kingdom. 📍 Matsopoulou Mill 🏭 🕒 Operating Hours: 9:00 - 17:00 The original structure, built in 1884, was the country's first roller mill and pasta factory. Now, the old mill hosts many events, including a theater and a cinema 🎥. During Christmas, it becomes the Elf Mill. 📍 Palaiokarya’s Stone Bridge 🌉 This single-arch bridge, built in the 16th century and spanning 35 meters across the Paleokariotis River 🌊, has a waterfall 12 meters high behind it, creating a natural water curtain and a pool in front. It is just 30 kilometers away from the city of Trikala in Thessaly. 📍 Trikala Fort 🏰 🕒 Operating Hours: 8:30 - 15:30 Duration for Visit: 1-2 hours Trikala Castle was built during the Byzantine period, originally constructed in the 6th century and renovated in the 17th century with the addition of a bell tower, and another bell tower was added in 1936 🕰.
