My Favorite Campground in Seattle
Lake Wenatchee State Park Campground The shower facilities here are incredibly clean, and there’s plenty to do. It’s my favorite summer campground in Washington State so far. The only downside is that it’s hard to book 🤣. 🏕️ The campground is divided into South and North sites. The South side is closer to the beach and the camp store, but if you’re staying in the North area, you can still drive to the South parking lot (paid parking or free with a Discover Pass). 🛍️ The camp store offers coffee, ice cream, cold drinks, souvenirs, and common camping supplies. There’s also a shaved ice 🍧 truck at the entrance, though it only opens occasionally. 💦 The main activity here is water fun. The water is clean and crystal clear, with a designated swimming area (great for kids). Kayaks are available for rent along the shore, and the scenery is stunning with calm waves—perfect for bringing your own paddleboard. After swimming, treat yourself to an ice cream and relax on the beach 😌. 🎡 A short drive away is the German-themed town of Leavenworth. After checking out, you can explore, eat, and take photos there. If the town feels too touristy, continue driving to Olalla Canyon Ridge for hiking. The trail is dotted with beautiful wildflowers! #SeattleLife #Seattle #SeattleWeekend #SeattleDayTrip #SeattleCamping #SeattleFun
