My First Discovery of Vaca Brava

📍Vaca Brava - Old San Juan 🌳I first discovered Vaca Brava in 2017 while assisting with Hurricane Maria relief efforts. It was the only restaurant operating in the area, so we went there frequently during those two weeks. 💗It's simple, yet I fell in love with this steakhouse, and I've never ordered anything other than the Mofongo with pork. Every time, it’s as tender, flavorful, and soul-satisfying as I expected. 🌈Fast forward to 2025. I was in San Juan for a day, and my wife was excited to visit the restaurant I kept raving about. 🍃We settled into our family-style table and benches, ordering the mofongo with pork, along with beans and rice, and arañitas (crispy fried shredded plantains, absolutely delicious). 💐We leisurely savored every bite of the meal, each one as memorable as the last.
