Nara and Uji ππ’
Kasuga Taisha Shrine ππΏ Take a stroll around Kasuga Taisha Shrine and soak in the serene atmosphere. After visiting Kasuga Taisha, follow the signs to return to JR Nara Station. Along the way, you can explore the shopping streets. πΏ π Next, we head to Uji. Compared to Nara, Uji is relatively smaller. Once you exit the JR station, you'll find Omotesando! There are many shops selling matcha here. π πΈπ Nakamura Tokichi and Itohkyuemon are the two oldest shops. I bought a strawberry matcha from Nakamura's, which tasted great and looked cute, perfect for souvenirs. πΈ Itohkyuemon has a large store right across from the JR station exit, where you can enjoy delicious matcha desserts and other treats. πΊ ποΈ The main attraction in Uji is Byodo-in Temple. Although it's small, you can finish exploring it in about 10 minutes. We arrived just before dark, and there weren't many people, ππΊ so we unexpectedly got some great shots of Byodo-in with fewer crowds. A pleasant surprise! π #Nara #Uji ππ’
