National Gallery of Art in Washington
Encountering the Light and Shadows of Van Gogh and Monet 🖼️🚶♀️🎟️On the first day in DC, I visited the National Gallery of Art. If you’ve been to The MET in New York, you might not find the collection here to be as masterful, but if you’re a fan of Van Gogh and Monet, you’ll still be moved by this place. 🖼️🕶️🌿You can see the real masterpieces here, like Van Gogh’s “Wheat Field with Crows” from the last year of his life and his “Self-Portrait”, as well as Monet’s “Woman with a Parasol” and “The Artist’s Garden at Vétheuil”. 🎨🖼️🌾Maybe it’s because I love their works so much, even though the gallery’s first treasure is a piece by da Vinci, these two are still my favorites. They are truly beautiful. 🖼️🏛️A must-visit place in DC. No reservation needed, just walk-in for free. #NationalGalleryOfArt #Washington #WashingtonTravel #WashingtonDC
