National Park | First Time to Sequoia and I Met the First Snow ❄️

Since I was going to Fresno for a marathon, I thought, “might as well,” and decided to make a detour to Sequoia National Park while I was there. We stayed at the 📍Wuksachi Lodge inside the park and played our way down. If you want to stay inside the park, there aren’t many hotel options, and the conditions aren’t as good as a star-rated hotel, but the hygiene and dining are decent. The most unforgettable memory of this trip was waking up the second day to snow❄️ The world was white and pristine. Having not seen snow for over a decade since leaving the north, I felt reinvigorated, and it was in a great forest no less. ❄️Time was limited, so we hurriedly visited a few attractions: we saw the largest Sequoia - General Sherman; we visited the Giant Forest Museum, where there’s also a named tree outside the door - Sentinel; we walked through Tunnel Rock; and finally, we checked in at the sign at the exit of the park. We didn’t go for any trails or visit Kings Canyon. On the way out of the mountains, we unexpectedly found a pizza place. We bought too much because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. The next day, we wanted to try it first, and my teammate has always believed that day-old pizza is the worst food. Although it didn’t have the same taste as the day before, it was not at all disappointing. Highlight‼️ 🖍️ This park hotel does not have charging stations. For non-Tesla electric cars, remember to bring your own adapter that can plug into Tesla charging stations. The nearest Tesla charging station (1) is outside a restaurant in Three River. (We went to the park on 11/1, and I just finished organizing my notes) #HealingScenery #Nature #California #WeekendGetaways #WinterTravelPlans #WinterTravelCollection #MakeTheMostOfEveryWeekend #BayAreaLife
