Near UCI in Irvine‼️ All Noodle Lovers, You Gotta Go Eat Here!!
I’d heard about Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles for a while — a UCI friend kept telling me how good it was and that it’s always packed during meal times. I had business near UCI today, so I intentionally came for a late lunch around 1 PM to beat the rush. (Menu at the end 📜) Four words: So! Worth! The! Trip! When I walked in, it was still almost full — they said they’d just finished the lunch rush 😂 I ordered the signature original braised beef rice noodles and a few small dishes. 💛 First came 11 toppings and a bowl of braised beef to add to the noodles, followed by a big steaming bowl of broth. The portion was so big I knew I couldn’t finish it all, so I only added half the noodles. They told me to put the quail egg in the broth first, then dump everything else in. 💛 The original broth tasted like pork bone — didn’t seem artificial, pretty savory, and didn’t leave me thirsty afterward. But the real star ⭐ — that braised beef was SO GOOD. Tender, fall-apart soft, even the tendon was easy to chew. Savory, slightly sweet, and absolutely no weird beefy smell (you know the struggle with un-blanched beef 😩). You can order extra beef on the side — trust me, even if you get another flavor, add this beef!! 💛 Fried Mint Ribs and Spicy Salted Beef were both above average — actually kind of a pleasant surprise. The ribs were crispy and fragrant with a refreshing mint note that didn’t overpower the meat. The spicy beef was salty, savory, and spicy — made me want a bowl of rice after two bites! Both were generous portions for under $10 — pretty rare in Irvine. 💛 The Papaya Salad was solid — tangy, spicy, refreshing. The Durian Ball was decent too. 💛 Staff were super friendly — I even saw them helping some UCI girls take photos 🤣 Highly recommend for noodle lovers or anyone nearby. Perfect warm-you-up-from-the-inside winter meal! 📍 Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles #ChineseFoodLover #LALife #IrvineEats #LAFoodReview #100RestaurantChallenge #RiceNoodles
