nem | New Vietnamese Light Cuisine in Dallas

๐ŸŒŸMy friend's older brother is a seasoned restaurateur who has successfully run both casual dining and fine dining establishments in Dallas. He's still actively managing his businesses. When I was in school, I used to work part-time as a waiter in his restaurant. ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ”During the pandemic, he was really troubled by the labor shortage and sometimes had to wash dishes in the kitchen himself. At his most exhausted moments, he always complained that if he ever started a new project, he would definitely avoid fine dining and only focus on fast food and light meals.๐Ÿ” ๐ŸทAt that time, he had the idea of turning Vietnamese cuisine into a format similar to Chipotle or Panda Express, saying that there wasn't a Vietnamese restaurant targeting Americans in that way. I didn't expect that a few years later, he actually made it happen. He truly is a leader in the industry. Just when I thought he could retire in glory, he's still launching new projects. ๐ŸฅŸThe restaurant is called "nem," which means "spring roll" in Vietnamese. It's located near the Addison Horn. Last Saturday was a friends and family-only event. I really admire the connections of this veteran in the restaurant business. We waited in line for two hours to get a taste. His friends were really supportive. Under normal circumstances, who would be willing to wait two hours for fast food? #Dallas #LifeInNorthAmerica #DallasFoodie #GlobalEatingSquad #HoustonFoodie #LightCuisine #SpeakingForWhiteFood #CasualMeals
