Never Get Tired of It ♨️ Korean Uncle’s Hidden Gem Tofu Soup Spot
Hi everyone~ LA can still get pretty chilly after sunset in fall and winter. I love having something warm — a Korean tofu stew is my ultimate comfort food. Today I’m recommending this under-the-radar spot run by a Korean uncle for many years — tasty, affordable, clean, and no wait! 🍲 Tofu Bean Korean BBQ 📍 18409 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748 📍 1155 S Diamond Bar Blvd # M, Diamond Bar, CA 91765 Tofu Stew Set C1 Lunch and dinner prices differ — lunch is cheaper, perfect for office workers grabbing a quick bite. Dinner’s about $3 more. The small sizzling beef short rib plate is just okay — not super tender, but the sauce is tasty. The tofu stew is fragrant, rich, and great with rice — topped with kimchi and beef, not too salty but full of flavor. The tofu is super tender, and best of all — no MSG thirst after eating! Grilled Yellow Croaker S6 This fish is plump and big — not the small kind! Crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with roe 🐟 — just like the grilled fish K-drama heroines eat when they visit the countryside. Stone Pot Bibimbap S11 A Korean uncle’s comfort zone — you can’t go wrong. Packed with potatoes, bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, spinach, beef, and seaweed.😁❤️ Top it with a runny egg 🍳 over purple rice, add a bit of sauce, mix it up — crispy rice at the bottom was a nice surprise (I love that part!). Seafood Pancake S9 Gotta say — this thing is HUGE, super big 🫓 Unlike other places, there’s no squid/shrimp — instead, it’s loaded with crab sticks. But it’s pan-fried nice and crispy, goes well with the tofu stew. Who can resist a bubbling hot tofu stew in fall/winter ♨️? Give this spot a try — delicious, generous, great value. Don’t just line up at BCD or Young Dong anymore! #LAExplorer #LALife #LAFood #RowlandHeightsEats #TofuStew #KoreanTofuStew #RowlandEats
