New DMV Tysons Modan Restaurant – Don’t Go 🙅♀️🚫

🫨 Tried the much-hyped Modan restaurant in Tysons last night after seeing it all over Instagram and TikTok. 🫨 Let’s just say the experience hit rock bottom when I spent 30 minutes looking for parking, only to be served Course 1: a plate of plain lettuce. 🥬😐 🫨 We reserved the 125 per person omakase tasting menu. The first photo shows the portion for TWO people—so we paid over 300 for what you see. Not a single premium ingredient in sight—not even a sweet shrimp. 🍤❌ 🫨 The main dish was teriyaki chicken—overly sweet and heavy. I never expected chicken in an omakase meal. Every course was a letdown. 😒🍗 🫨 The "sushi counter" setup was bizarre—you can’t even see the chefs preparing the food. They work behind a fish display case, completely hidden from view. (P.S. The chefs are all Chinese.) 👨🍳🙈 🫨 Terrible service overall. The meal dragged on for 4 hours due to extremely slow pacing. And we had to pay for parking on top of that! 🅿️⏳ 🫨 Even though the food came out slowly, the staff was lightning-fast at clearing plates—often taking them away after just a few minutes, whether we were finished or not. Then we’d wait another half hour for the next course… 🔄😤 🫨 After getting home, I checked Google reviews.
