New Orleans solo trip

I Really Love New Orleans! You Can Have a Great Time Even Traveling Alone!🌻 🍎🍎Below are some of my favorite spots for eating, drinking, and exploring. Great Places to Explore 🕶️ 1. Swamp Tour 🔥 This tour is definitely worth it—one you’ll never regret! I loved it so much!👍👍 On the boat, we saw raccoons 🦝, wild boars 🐗, and lots of alligators! The boat gets really close to the alligators, letting you observe their breathing up close.🌳 The guide’s commentary was also fun—turns out alligator hunting is only allowed in September each year! 🌙 At the end, everyone gets to touch a baby alligator 🐊; the texture is so unique. I highly recommend experiencing it 🐟 I booked mine through Cajun Pride Swamp Tour, which offers hotel pickup—super convenient.🎊 2. Oak Alley I don’t really recommend visiting this place… Other than the oak trees being perfect for photos, there’s nothing else to see. My travel buddy bluntly said, “It’s not as interesting as the former residences of famous people in China”🇨🇳 They even display silver tableware in glass cases! That said, if you bring photography gear and a nice outfit, it’s worth going for photos—the trees are truly stunning! You can also see ships in the distance 🛳️. 3. Café du Monde ☕️ A must-visit spot that’s cash only! The beignets were way more delicious than I expected 😋. If you’re lucky, you might catch a jazz performance—I was fortunate enough to listen for an hour.💞💞 4. French Quarter + Royal Street After your coffee, head to the French Quarter for a stroll to digest! The colorful little houses are beautiful, and there are plenty of tarot, voodoo, and souvenir shops.😊😊 I loved Royal Street—kept walking until I reached the Vampire Café, and the whole area was lively. There are many antique shops, art galleries, and vintage stores—great for browsing.🍐🎼 👉👈But bad news: the Vampire Café no longer sells blood plasma cocktails! If you wanted to visit for a Vampire Diaries vibe, you’re out of luck. 5. Preservation Hall Check my previous post for details! Delicious Eats 😋🍴 1. Thaihey Truly amazing! I highly recommend the crab fried rice.🍚🍚 The tom yum goong (spicy shrimp soup) 🦐 is also good, and so is the pumpkin catfish (sounds weird, but it’s surprisingly tasty)! Their Thai iced tea comes with a milk cap—so good!👍👍 The staff are all very friendly ❤️‍🔥, but this spot is more like Thai fusion cuisine—every dish is on the sweeter side.✨ 2. Ruby Slipper Café A super popular brunch spot. One perk of traveling alone: you can sit at the bar directly without waiting in line. I ordered an omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes, and shrimp—it was incredibly delicious!!💕💕 3. Dragos Also really tasty! Highly recommend the lobster pasta 🦞—the creamy mushroom sauce is so good. Second recommendation: grilled oysters 🦪. Last but not least, fried alligator meat—it’s pretty average (tastes like KFC), but worth a try for the novelty.❄️❄️ #NewOrleans
