Perth South Coast Road Trip 🚗 Food Guide
Chanya Thai – A Must-Try Thai Restaurant for Anyone Visiting Albany 🐘 After eating Western food all the way, we were finally able to switch things up when we got to Albany – and Chanya Thai, a highly recommended Thai spot, didn’t disappoint 🥳. 🌟 Green Curry with Chicken🐔 – $27 It didn’t look like much when it was served, but once we dug in, we found it was packed with ingredients 😍! The curry was loaded with chicken breast, plus long beans, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and lemongrass. The biggest surprise was the eggplant, pan-fried until golden on both sides – it paired surprisingly well with the green curry 😋. The curry itself was rich and flavorful, though the only downside was that the chicken breast was a bit dry 🥲. 🌟 Pad Thai with Prawn – $27 Carb lovers can never say no to a little carb fix 😙! The most obvious highlight here was the prawns – they were super fresh and plump 🍤. The seasoning and portion size were decent too, but the dish lacked that nice "wok hei" (smoky stir-fry flavor) and felt a bit soggy overall. It was solid, just not outstanding 🍐🎼 🌟 Tom Yum Veg & Tofu (Small) – $9.5 We also ordered a bowl of Tom Yum soup, which was packed with veggies and tofu 😍. The spiciness was mild enough for most people to handle, and I thought it tasted really good 🤤. 🐹Summary: The food was generally tasty 😋. We went on a weekday evening, but there was a big group celebrating a birthday, so we luckily got the last available table 😙. If you plan to eat here, we recommend making a reservation in advance ‼🌌🌌 Address: 12/76 Proudlove Parade, Albany WA 6330🏠 #WhatToEatInAlbany #WesternAustraliaTravel #RoadTrip#InternationalStudentLife #100RestaurantCheckInPlan
