🍔 New York & Washington DC Food Guide 🍴
As a serious foodie, trying all kinds of American eats was a must during my trip! Just spent a week in the US—surprisingly, almost everything was delicious (maybe 'cause I’ve been living in the UK lol 😂). Here’s my roundup: 🗽 New York Must-Tries 📍 Los Tacos No.1 Four taco flavors to choose from—the pork and chicken are the best! 🌮 No seats though—everyone stands and eats! 📍 Best Bagel Highly recommend the salmon + everything bagel + cream cheese! 🥯 Huge portion, loads of salmon… so satisfying! The blueberry one is great too. 📍 Katz’s Deli My top recommendation this trip!! 🥪 Their pastrami sandwich is the best I’ve ever had—get it with cheese and sauerkraut! Lots of locals eat here too. 📍 Joe’s Pizza $4 for a giant slice of pizza 🍕—super worth it! Thin crust style. In NYC, you gotta try it just for the price! 📍 Chelsea Market Had an amazing lobster roll here—so fresh! 🦞 The market has tons of options. Spend some time and explore! 📍 Panda Express A popular American Chinese chain (not in the UK!), so we tried it outta curiosity 🐼. Good value but a bit oily—very much adapted to Western taste. 📍 Junious & Eileen’s Famous cheesecake spots! Junious is a bit too sweet for me, but Eileen’s was mind-blowing 🍰💥! 🏛️ Washington DC Eats 📍 Unconventional Diner Recommended by a DC friend—Michelin-recommended! ⭐ Great service, vibe, and food. Order freely—no regrets! 📍 Tatte As someone who’s tried many brunch spots in the UK, I was super impressed! Their bowls are a must-try—salmon rice and lamb rice are incredible! 🥑 The pistachio croissant was just okay, but the black sesame latte? 🤯👌 📍 Founding Farmers A classic DC spot—always packed! 🌽 Their cornbread and chicken soup are must-orders. 📍 Old Ebbitt Grill Super close to the White House! 🦀 Reservations recommended. Their crab cake is famous—seafood-focused menu. #FoodGuide #NYCFood #DCFood #FoodieTravels #EatTheWorld #BrunchLife #USAEats
