Niagara Falls | 🇨🇦 Amazing 🍵 at a Japanese Restaurant by the Falls
We finally tried Yukiguni, a place with mixed reviews on Xiaohongshu, on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Our verdict? Absolutely delicious!! After we were seated, a Japanese grandfatherly server asked how long we’d been here. When he found out we hadn’t been in Canada for long, he shared that his family had moved from Japan over 30 years ago and that the flavors at this restaurant had remained unchanged for all those years 🥹 He then asked where we were from, and upon learning we were Chinese and Korean, he treated us to their famous Japanese green tea . I highly recommend this 🍵!! It has a matcha-like flavor with a slightly bitter aftertaste—not as intense as pure matcha but a perfect blend of green tea and matcha. For our mains, we ordered soba with tempura and the pork cutlet rice bowl . The tempura shrimp was incredibly tender, whether dipped in the soba broth or soy sauce. The pork cutlet rice was my favorite!!! Fried to perfection and mixed with egg. Pro tip: Stir in some miso soup to balance the dryness, and for extra saltiness, add a splash of Japanese soy sauce. When we paid, we thanked the grandfatherly server in Japanese, and he replied in both Chinese and Korean. Another heartwarming day of East Asian solidarity 🥹 📍Yukiguni Restaurant 5980 Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3V5 #JapaneseCuisine #NiagaraFalls #NiagaraFallsFood #CanadianLife #JapaneseFoodInCanada #NiagaraEats #StudentFoodie #JapaneseRestaurant #JapaneseFood
