Niagara Falls | The 35-year-old Japanese restaurant I ate at twice in
It’s not easy to find a great restaurant in Niagara Falls’ touristy area. 80% of places serve steak, burgers, or pizza—fine for one meal, but gets boring fast if you’re craving Asian flavors. 🥢 But this Japanese spot, found on Google, is a total gem: affordable, delicious, and never gets old. I was there for just a day and a half… and ate here twice! 😋 The owner is a lovely old grandpa. Chatted with him and found out he’s been here for 35 years, and his chef has worked here just as long. More locals eat here than tourists—always a good sign! 👴🏻 Their lunch special (12 PM - 4 PM) is amazing—you can’t go wrong with anything! 📅 Highly recommend the Tonkatsu Lunch: the breading is thin, so it’s all juicy pork. 🐷 Another winner is the Grilled Mackerel (Saba) Lunch—crispy, charred, and packed with flavor. 🔥 For appetizers, try the Grilled Squid—super fresh and sweet! 🦑 The Tempura is also great. Every meal comes with miso soup and a homemade salad, and after paying, they give you tasty Japanese candies. 🧁 I left stuffed both times! 😂 There’s parking behind the restaurant, and it’s only a 13-minute walk from the falls. 🚶♀️ 🇨🇦 Japanese Restaurant Yukiguni 5980 Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3V5, Canada #LocalFaves #NiagaraFallsRestaurants #NiagaraFalls #CanadianLife #WeekendEats #JapaneseFood #HiddenGems #NorthAmericanLife
