Nice | A Cozy ☀️ Italian Cuisine Gem 🍕🧀 in the Old Town
A few days ago, while accompanying a guest, we walked into a small Italian restaurant in the Old Town: Peppino. It's tucked away in a narrow alley of the Old Town. If it weren't for its 4.8 rating on Google Reviews, you'd probably walk right past it. But as soon as you step inside, you're greeted with a warm sense of happiness: stone-inlaid walls, traditional red-and-white checkered Italian tablecloths, an aged wooden wine cabinet filled with various wines, and a counter displaying fresh pasta, ham, and cheese🧀. We tried the traditional Italian appetizer: Burrata di bufala 🥗—a salad of buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes. The fresh heirloom tomatoes are naturally sweet and perfectly paired with fresh basil leaves🌿. For the main course, we had a classic Italian dish: Lasagna with veal. The meat had a wonderfully aromatic, almost gamey flavor, unlike any other I've had, and the portion was very generous. We also shared a plate of authentic cured ham and cheese🧀. The flavors were spot-on, and it was the perfect amount for two to share🥹. #NiceFoodRecommendations #Nice #NiceTravel #SouthofFrance #SouthofFranceTravelGuide #SouthofFranceTowns #NicePrivateCar #SouthofFranceVacation #Monaco #DeliciousFood
