Super Niche South of France Knights Festival

Like Stumbling into a Medieval World โ–ช๏ธ Biot et les Templiers ๐Ÿ“œ End of March or early April, for 2-3 days ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ ๐Ÿชฟ Free entry & watch all activities ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ท Straight out of camera with no filters ๐Ÿ“ธ This year's Biot Knights Festival has already passed a week ago. Two weeks before, in Antibes next to Biot, I suddenly saw many festival posters. I thought of visiting this charming town again in spring, but I was surprised to find it packed with locals, and the experience was beyond my expectations! ๐ŸŒธ Biot, a usually quiet South of France hill town, transforms into a living medieval world for just a few days every year. From the cobblestone streets to the city gates, it feels like stepping into a time warp. Biot belonged to the Knights Templar in the 12th century, and today, the old town still retains the medieval arches, churches, and alley grids from that era. The entire town is like a natural medieval stage. ๐Ÿฐ There are medieval markets, taverns, blacksmith shops, ancient band performances, knightly jousting, wandering minstrels, and even medieval wedding reenactments... The whole town is fully immersed in the past. There were even goose parades and goose herders! (Yes, real geese!) I really regret missing the fire equestrian show and torch parade on the first night. I highly recommend adding this festival to your travel itinerary around Nice in late March or early April! ๐ŸŒŸ #TravelHumanities #CulturalDocumentary #NicheTravel #TravelLikeALocal #EuropeOffTheBeatenPath #AroundNice #Medieval #TravelBeyondTheๆ‰“ๅก #RomanticLifeRecorder #France #FranceTravel #SouthofFrance #Nice #Biot
