North America | Affordable and Delicious Japanese Cuisine
šThe omakase set here is really well put together! The first dish was a type of mackerel, but it was a particularly fatty and delicious oneāhaha! Itās only available in winter and early spring. There were plenty of pieces of fatty tuna belly, Japanese Wagyu beef, foie gras, and a lot of sea urchin. There were also various other delicious fish, but I really couldnāt remember their names. But itās not the kind of omakase that just piles on expensive ingredients; the combination of flavors is really good.š šEach portion is super generous. The sushi has a lot of rice, and then thereās even more fish on top. But because thereās so much fish, the whole sushi piece is really big (everything is bigger in Texas). šThere was one dish I had never tried before: sea urchin soaked in sake. It had a really unique flavor. šThe dessert was just average, but my friend thought the chocolate ice cream was really good. šTodayās experience was amazing, and the waiter was super nice. He tried to explain each dish to me in English. In New York, every waiter tries to explain the dishes using French, Japanese, or Italian words, which can be quite stressful. Hahaha, I think heās right! šThis restaurant is in Texas, and I donāt want to mention the name because I donāt want everyone to go there. Todayās happiness really deserves this long post! This meal also made me like Texas even more. The average cost per person was $195, excluding drinks. #TexasFood #JapaneseCuisine #Omakase #Houston
