North America Travel • 2-Day Trip to Madison, Wisconsin 🧳
1⃣️ Farmer’s Market 🥬🍯 The market is full of fresh produce, fruits, honey, bread, cakes, and all kinds of pumpkins 🎃! We tried the garlic butter bread highly recommended by Xiaohongshu sisters — it’s nothing like the one from Costco (which was way too greasy!). This one was fragrant with garlic and basil, filled with delicious cheese inside… we finished the whole loaf in one minute 😋! We also bought pure honey 🍯 and a small pound cake-like dessert. 2⃣️ Museums 🖼️ Many museums here are free! The largest one — Chazen Museum of Art — is definitely worth a visit. 3⃣️ Food Recommendations 🍜 Ruyi Noodle House: Their hand-pulled noodles and knife-shaved noodles are amazing! Dagu Rice Noodles: Also pretty good 👍 Chen’s Restaurant: Their eight-treasure porridge is tasty 🥣 Double 10 Dumpling: The dumplings are nice, but avoid the Yangzhou fried rice 👎. The spicy chicken is decent and quite hot 🌶️. Note: Sadly, there’s no good bubble tea around here 🥤😢 4⃣️ Henry Vilas Zoo 🐒 A small but free zoo! It gets crowded on weekends (lots of families 👨👩👧), and parking can be tricky. Not many animals, but nice for killing time. 5⃣️ State Capitol 🏛️ Also FREE! The interior is grand and luxurious 💫. There’s an observation deck offering beautiful views of the lake in the distance 🌄. ✨ We didn’t have a strict itinerary—just explored casually between plans. Madison is perfect for lakeside walks and sunny relaxation 🌞👌! #Madison #Wisconsin #LifeInNorthAmerica #USATravel #FreeAttractions #FoodieAdventure
