Oklahoma's Last Stop: Noodles and Dumplings

This was my final stop in Oklahoma before heading to Kansas, and I’m so glad I squeezed in a meal here! The restaurant’s called Noodles and Dumplings, and let me tell you – their soup dumplings alone are worth a detour 😤! First off, I noticed there were quite a few foreign customers dining here, which says a lot about how tasty their food is (no language barrier when it comes to good eats! 🌍). Let’s break down the dishes we tried: Braised Beef Noodles & Clear Broth Beef Noodles Both the clear broth beef noodles and braised beef noodles were priced at $14.99 each 💵. Admittedly, the toppings were simple – just broccoli florets and sliced tomatoes – and the soup itself was nothing mind-blowing (not super rich or flavorful, sadly 😕). But here’s the star of the noodles: the texture! You can definitely tell the noodles are hand-pulled fresh by the chef – they’re springy, chewy, and have that perfect “bite” that store-bought noodles just can’t match 🤤. And the beef? Tender, juicy, and packed with savory flavor – every slice was so satisfying, I kept picking at it even after my noodles were gone 😋. THE Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) – MUST TRY! Now, let’s talk about the real MVP: the pork xiao long bao ($11.99 for a serving) 🥹. If you come here and don’t order these, you’re doing it wrong. The way to eat them is non-negotiable: first, gently bite a tiny hole at the top of the dumpling skin, then slurp up all that warm, savory broth inside (be careful – it’s hot! 🔥), and finally pop the whole dumpling into your mouth. The broth is so flavorful – rich, umami, and not too greasy – and the pork filling is juicy and well-seasoned. The skin is thin but sturdy enough to hold all the soup, no messy spills (if you’re careful, that is 😉). I ate mine so fast I almost burned my tongue, but it was 100% worth it – these are some of the best xiao long bao I’ve had in the US! Oh, and the chili flakes they put on every table? Surprisingly good! A little sprinkle adds a nice kick to both the noodles and the dumplings – totally recommend trying it 🌶️. By the end of the meal, I was full, happy, and ready to hit the road to Kansas. If you’re ever in Oklahoma and craving Chinese comfort food, this spot is a solid pick – especially for those soup dumplings. Trust me, you won’t regret it! #XiaoLongBao #SoupDumplings #WeekendEats #OklahomaFood #ChineseNoodleShop #TravelFoodDiary #USChineseRestaurant #BeefNoodles
