Oklahoma | Oklahoma City (OKC) | University
This time, I hit the road again with my guinea pig π·! With my little buddy along, the journey was anything but lonely. Our first stop was Oklahoma City, the capital of Oklahoma ποΈ. With a population of nearly 700,000, OKC offers plenty of dining options π½οΈ, an outlet mall for shopping ποΈ, and a relatively large Asian supermarket π. The city feels safe and is quite livable π. OKC Lighthouse This might be one of the few must-visit spots in OKC π‘. It must be lovely in summer, but in winter the wind is just too strong π¬οΈ. Still, we saw people jogging πββοΈ and biking π΄ around the lakeβso peaceful! University of Oklahoma I highly recommend visiting the University of Oklahoma's library πβit's absolutely stunning! Among all the universities Iβve seen in the Midwest, OUβs library is easily one of the best π. Most libraries in this region are too modernized, but this one has a classic charm. I could easily spend a whole day studying here ππ. π¨ Best Western Plus / Premium For this trip, I stayed at Best Western Plus or Premium properties, as well as Holiday Innβno disappointments at all πβ ! A lot of people complain about Best Western, but thatβs probably because they didnβt book the Plus or Premium tier. These versions are a step up: clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet π§Όβ¨. Yes, they cost a bit more π°, but the upgrade is totally worth it. #LiveAndLife #RoadTrip #MidwestRoadTrip #UniversityOfOklahoma #OU #Oklahoma #OKC #GuineaPig #HotelRecommendations #USHotels #TravelUSA ππ
