Oklahoma City | Generous Portions & Visually Appealing Sandwiches

Tired of Asian and Mexican food 🥢🌮, I wanted to try some local American cuisine. When I checked the map, only sandwich shops popped up 🗺️. But I have to say, this sandwich spot totally exceeded my expectations! 😲 Appetizers: The fried cheese balls below are incredibly fragrant—crispy on the outside, with melty, stretchy cheese inside 🧀. Highly recommended! 👍 Then there’s fries topped with melted cheese, two sunny-side-up eggs 🍳, and a drizzle of very mild spicy sauce. I can’t quite put my finger on the exact flavor, but it’s pretty good 😋. Main Course: Next up was the main dish. Their sandwiches come as a combo: one main item plus a side. I went for the Mule Club + Fried Okra 🥪. When it was served, the portion size blew me away—there was a whole tray, with a sandwich at each of the four corners and fried okra scattered all over the middle 🤯. Even though I have a big appetite, I could only finish three sandwiches! Unlike typical "white people food" (simple, plain fare), the flavor combinations here are actually really nice. Sure, it’s made with pre-prepped ingredients like lettuce 🥬, tomatoes 🍅, and ham slices, but when they’re put together, it’s surprisingly delicious. And don’t even get me started on the fried okra portion—it’s so good I ate it in silence, bite after bite 😌. In the end, I had to get a doggy bag, and they even packed a whole box for me 📦. My friend, who ordered something else (I didn’t get a chance to take a photo 📸), also ended up with a big box of leftovers. The restaurant also has a small outdoor bar with a decent selection of drinks 🍻. Final Thoughts: This "white people restaurant" truly surpassed my expectations. Later, I took a look at the menu and saw lots of other interesting options—definitely recommend giving it a try! ✨ Restaurant Name: The Mule Address: 1800 NW 16th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73106 Average Cost per Person: $10–$20 #OklahomaCity #WhitePeopleFoodIsStillFood #WhatToEatToday
