Oklahoma City Travel Impressions 🏙️🌀

Is it OK? Is it a city? Does OKC really feel as run-down as people say? Having been there myself, I think visitors might come away with a different impression. 👉 The Verdict: True—there aren’t many skyscrapers ❓, it’s prone to thunderstorms and tornadoes ❓, and not all storefronts are occupied ❓… But also—almost no homeless people 👍, great walkable streets 👍, low cost of living 👍, and a strong emphasis on public transport 👍! 🤩 It’s one of the Top 20 most populous cities in the U.S. and ranks in the Top 50 for livability. Day 2 Afternoon Route: OKC Underground + Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum + Paseo Arts District 1️⃣ OKC Underground Open Monday–Friday, 6 AM–8 PM. You can get a good sense of it just by looking through the glass into the tunnels 🚇. Built as part of a major urban renewal project to shelter from extreme weather, it now sometimes houses art galleries 🖼️—making hiding from tornadoes a slightly more cultured experience! 2️⃣ Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Depending on your interest, you can dive deeper into the tragic event here 🕯️. The museum recounts the story of a Gulf War veteran, radicalized by far-right ideologies, who carried out an attack against the government out of anger over its policies. 3️⃣ Paseo Arts District A historic Spanish Revival-style neighborhood that now hosts Native American markets and art fairs 🎨🧡. #OfCourseIRecordedThis #ShareYourLife #WeekendVibes #OklahomaCity #OKC #TravelUSA
