Oklahoma Museum Tour (Summer Series)
Today marks the first day of my kid’s summer vacation—and we’re launching this “Summer Series” that will run from the start to the end of the break! ☀️ This is our second out-of-state trip since moving to Texas, following our trip to Arkansas—this time, we’re heading to Oklahoma 🚗. After breakfast in the morning, we hit the road. Halfway through the drive, we stopped at the Oklahoma Welcome Center on the Texas-Oklahoma border, right next to WinStar Casino. There’s a bridge here that’s said to connect Texas and Oklahoma; originally, there was a river underneath it, but now the area has been filled in 🌉. We took a short break before continuing our journey. After lunch, we went to the Science Museum Oklahoma. And here’s a perk: we’re ASTC members, so we got in for free! 🆓 Inside, there’s a train exhibition, an airplane exhibition, a space exhibition, and a bicycle exhibition. There’s also a Kids’ Olympic Zone, a children’s play area, a kids’ treehouse, and live science experiment shows 🧪. Plus, there are dinosaur fossils that stand several meters tall, and you can even test-drive the electric scooters used by security guards to patrol malls 🦖🛴. There’s also an insect education section—the list goes on! You’d need at least a full day to explore everything properly. We spent three hours there and still didn’t get to see or do everything—it’s just that big and packed with activities! 😲 Oklahoma has not only lots of casinos and trails but also even more museums and zoos—it’s perfect for family outings with kids 🐘. If we hadn’t planned a day trip (and had to head back the same day), my kid would’ve definitely stayed until the museum closed before being willing to leave! #TexasNearbyTravel #FamilyFriendlySpots #Museum #MustVisitMuseums #Oklahoma #Dallas #NearbyTrips
