It’s DC Restaurant Week right now 🍽️✨, and I highly recommend trying this classic upscale French spot! We went to 1789 last year for my birthday celebration 🎂—and it was absolutely memorable! We made our reservation 1-2 weeks in advance and mentioned it was for a birthday—they definitely made it feel special! 🥳 🥂 Ambiance: The vibe is total old-money elegance—classic, cozy, and sophisticated. And yes, everyone was dressed up! 👔👗 We ordered appetizers, mains, and desserts—no regrets! 🍴 What We Tried: • Tuna Crudo: Fresh and flavorful with a hint of mustard—so good! 🐟 • Australian Rack of Lamb: Tender, generous portion, and no gamey taste! 🐑 • Crescent Duck Breast: The duck was juicy, but honestly, I loved the side dishes even more! 🦆 🍮 Dessert: A lovely sweet treat to wrap up the meal!
