Ottawa | Gongfu Bao, Open Only Four Days a Week

Finally, I got to try this laid-back restaurant 🤪 which is open only from Wednesday to Saturday. The gua bao is available after 4 pm, and I've attached the menu! There aren't many seats inside. We went for dine-in at around 6 pm and waited for more than ten minutes. We ordered the following for two people: 1️⃣ BRAISED BRISKET BAO The beef bao is sweet, with radish inside, and it's quite delicious~ 2️⃣ FRIED CHICKEN BAO We both agreed that the fried chicken bao is the best! It's a large piece of freshly fried chicken, super fragrant! You must give it a try. 3️⃣ MUSHROOM JOOK (The picture is of the small size) The mushroom porridge is indeed rich and flavorful; even my teammate who doesn't like mushrooms had half a bowl. 4️⃣ YUEN YEUNG I personally found the coffee and tea mix to be average~ We saw there were pineapple buns and such, but we didn't try them. We had one left over, and the total cost before tax and tip was $58, which is indeed a bit pricey. However, it's normal for a meal out in Ottawa. Overall, I recommend giving this restaurant a try. #OttawaFood #OttawaShopExploration #RestaurantRecommendation #OttawaFoodExploration #OttawaLife
