Overall, Memphis makes a great stop on a road trip
Bass Pro Shop Pyramid A paradise for outdoor lovers 🎣, this is the largest Bass Pro Shop in the U.S. and the 8th tallest pyramid in the world! Inside, you’ll find a hotel, an observation deck with a restaurant at the top, and even a paid elevator ride 🛗 to the summit. They sell everything from gear to clothes to snacks—don’t miss their delicious pork rinds! 🐖 tax Museum of American Soul Music Memphis is the birthplace of many American music genres 🎤. Since I was traveling with the choir, visiting a music museum was a must! Normally, entry is around $20, but we got lucky—it was Family Day, so we got in for FREE 🎉. The museum screens a documentary on the origins of soul music and displays stage outfits worn by legendary artists. ✨ Beale Street Once a star among bar streets, Beale has been somewhat overshadowed by Nashville’s Broadway 🍻. Located near the FedExForum (home of the Memphis Grizzlies 🐻), the street is lined with restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. It feels a bit quiet these days, but that also means lower prices—even on drinks! Many shops sell daiquiris in various flavors 🍹; be sure to bring ID if you want the alcoholic version. #Memphis #TravelDiary #SoulMusic #USATravel #RoadTrip #ChoirLife #SpringBreak
