Parro Auckland: Worth the Hype (Mostly!) š®š¹āØ
I visited Parro way too lateāregret not heeding the recommendation sooner! š¤¦āļøBefore it blew up in popularity, the staff at neighboring Oohfa strongly endorsed Parro, but I didnāt take their advice. Now? Itās nearly impossible to secure a table! You even need to provide credit card details to make a reservationāI can barely āaffordā to dine here now š Letās break down the dishes:š„© Chargrilled T-bone Steak: When cooked to the right temperature over charcoal, a T-bone steak can never disappoint! Juicy, smoky, and packed with savory meaty flavorāan absolute standout. š° Salted-Sweet Tiramisu: A total game-changer! I personally crown this Aucklandās BEST tiramisu š„ The unique salty-sweet profile is incredibly addictiveācreamy, subtly boozy, and perfectly balanced. š¦ Tiger Prawns: A letdown. The prawns were surprisingly small, and the flesh was cold and tough upon serving š„ŗ š Sashimi: The accompanying sauce was well-balanced, but the sashimi itself was too warm. The blood oranges (served straight from the fridge!) were so crisp and refreshing that they completely overshadowed the sashimiās delicate flavor š„¤ š„ Ravioli with Preserved Lemon: The preserved lemon added a bright, tangy freshnessāsuch a nice touch! However, the potato and cheese filling was overly rich. My friend and I were both overwhelmed by the creaminess and couldnāt finish it 𤢠Overall experience: Pretty good! It feels like dining in a cozy home kitchen š”. Average cost: ~100 NZD per person (excluding alcohol) šø Would I return? Without a doubtāif only for that tiramisu! š„° #food #MyDailyLife #Auckland #ItalianFood #AucklandLife #AucklandFood #BabyFood (playful tag) #ComeAgain #RestaurantRecommendation #NewZealand
