Parro Restaurant — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

Tonight was the third time we’ve eaten at Parro and it’s fast becoming our favourite restaurant in the city, we we’re celebrating my wife’s birthday, I also had my birthday here too (3 weeks ago) the food is amazing we’ve tried most dishes on the menu, the two chefs Gleber & Iagor are relentless in the kitchen constantly moving seamlessly from one dish to the next, the flavours will make you smile and feel all happy inside, Bia the manager (The Queen of Parro 😄) is great , her energy and joy for what she does makes you feel like you’re being welcomed by friends as soon as you walk in , the atmosphere is warm and we often find ourselves talking to other tables comparing the food we’ve ordered which can be quite a rare phenomenon in central Auckland lol , I highly recommend the Pasta of the day today was osso buco and bone marrow agnalotti (possibly the best bowl of pasta in the city and yes I have eaten at Ellerslie’s Bianca & Pasta e Cuore which are also excellent) the BBQ Beef Carpaccio is the best I’ve had and the RawFish Gazpacho is as tasty as it is beautiful, the T Bone steak is my favourite steak in the city cooked over fire it’s equal to the famous bistecca alla fiorentina you’d find in Tuscany it’s dangerous though I often find myself thinking about it while waiting for the next opportunity to go back to eat it again, the Tiramisu is the best in town and that’s my favourite desert I usually order if it’s on the menu, Parro’s has the perfect texture of the mascarpone , the Savoiardi moist without being too mushy with a mild flavour of coffee ,the cocoa on top👌🏽 well done Team what an outstanding...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Parro, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Food: The menu offers a delightful array of dishes, showcasing both creativity and quality. I started with the Croqueta, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For the main course, I opted for the BBQ octopus and BBQ steak, and it was both nothing short of spectacular. The combination of flavors was exquisite, and each bite left me wanting more. To top it all off, the dessert, Strawberry espuma, was a perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal.

Staff: What truly set this experience apart was the attentive and friendly staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and exceptional service. My server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. It’s clear that the team takes pride in providing a memorable dining experience.

What we had:

❣️Marinated olives - simple, but amazing and addictive starter.

❣️BBQ flat bread - perfectly cooked with a hint of smoky chargrill flavour that adds another dimension of deliciousness

❣️Burrata - creamy perfection! This pairs amazingly with the flatbread - a must-try combo.

❣️Eggplant - beautifully presented and boasting with smoky flavour that adds depth.

❣️Cured raw fish - is light, fresh, and bursting with perfectly balanced flavours.

❣️Tortellini - creamy, flavourful, and the crispy bits on top? Sign me up!

❣️Lamb shoulder - while I’m not usually a slow-cooked meat person, this lamb shoulder was delicious.

❣️Arroz bomba - smoke and seafood in perfect harmony, elevated by saffron luxury touch.

❣️Tiramisu - this traditional dessert was flawlessly made and the ideal way to end a fantastic meal
