Pasadena Food — Asian Edition
Me + Crêpe 🇨🇳 Chinese-style crepes (jiānbing guǒzi) — try the roast duck and lamb crepes. Also pairs well with soy milk and fried dough sticks (yóutiáo). Open for 4 years, tucked away off Colorado St — a bit hard to find, but flavors are decent. Prices are on the higher side. 📍 89 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91105 Cha Redefine 🍵 The “American version of Chayan Yuese” — I’ve only been once, but the drinks were great! 📍 20 Union St #110, Pasadena, CA 91103 Noodle St 🍜 Solid beef noodle soup and ramen. Last two photos show their cold noodles and beef ramen — I go often for lunch. Bowls run around $14–17. 📍 87 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105 SUSHI Stop 🍣 A sushi spot especially good for solo diners. California rolls are under $9 if I remember right. 📍 58 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105 Main Chick 🍗 Afried chicken joint. Taste is subjective — some love it, some don’t. Right next to Cha Redefine. 📍 20 Union St, Pasadena, CA 91103 Oakobing 🍧 Shaved ice dessert spot. Personally wasn’t blown away. Very small — three tables inside, two outside. I always get it to-go (they don’t really pack it — you just carry it out). 📍 37 N Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena, CA 91103 Osawa 🍱 Authentic Japanese restaurant. 📍 77 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101 Since I’m often solo in Pasadena, these spots are all solo-friendly. I didn’t take photos for some places, but I’ve tried them. I also enjoy Thai food — heard there are some good Thai spots in Old Town, planning to try them soon! Also — Pasadena has amazing brunch spots and wine bars. I’ll share those separately next time! #Pasadena #BlueBottle #PasadenaOldTown #AsianFood #SoloDining #FoodGuide 🥢
