The ambiance is great, and without a reservation, we only had bar seats, but it was still very comfortable! The service is excellent; they introduce the dishes and are very friendly. 1️⃣ Chicha Morada ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is the reason I came to this restaurant! I saw the long-missed chicha morada, which I last had at the Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant alpaca in North Carolina (where my love for it began), and it was so delicious, hehe. 2️⃣ Soursop Mint ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Both non-alcoholic drinks at this place are amazing, and I really like this one as well; it has a refreshing mint flavor. 3️⃣ Lomo Saltado ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The complimentary appetizer was a mix of bell peppers and tomatoes, which was a great start. The beef sauce is fresh, salty, and fragrant; I love it, and it's delicious with everything~The meat is quite large and almost fully cooked (which many people might not like), not particularly tender, but everything else is perfect. The side dishes of potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions are a great match. There's a type of large corn kernel in the rice that's crispy and fragrant. I asked the waitress and she said it's called Choclo, a type of Peruvian corn. 4️⃣ Pulpo Al Grill ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The squid ink risotto is so delicious, truly fragrant! I could give full marks for the rice alone. The tenderness of the octopus is unlike anything I've had before; it's somewhere between undercooked and fully cooked, not as tender as the fully cooked octopus I've had in tapas before, but you can taste the chewy texture of the collagen. The connecting parts of the legs haven't been removed, which can be a bit toothsome. #FrenchCuisine #PeruvianCuisine #Ottawa #ottawa #OttawaFood #OttawaFrenchCuisine #DuckConfit
