Pio Pio Restaurant Experience Diary

🥣Found this place through a Google search for San Juan restaurants. It's a modern creative cuisine spot with great reviews, and we weren't disappointed. It's a very small restaurant with just a few tables and a counter in front of the kitchen. 🍮Essentially, it's a chef's table experience at the bar, where you can watch all the food being prepared and cooked. We opted to share a tasting menu paired with wine. 💛The server, noticing it was our first visit, proactively introduced the corn sauce pasta made fresh that day. The noodles were cooked to the perfect texture, and the sauce had a light sweetness from the corn, topped with grated cheese that enhanced the flavor. 🧁It was served with smooth plantain mash that carried a hint of cinnamon aroma. When we hesitated over the drinks, the server recommended a local sparkling wine, which was fruity and reasonably priced. 🍩I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.
