Pisco y Nazca in DC, a Peruvian restaurant that everyone raves about
The Ceviche sampler was good but not mind-blowing. Three small bowls with some repeated ingredients, overall decent. Compared to other restaurants, the flavor leans towards sour, and the pieces of seafood are larger. 🤤 CORAZÓN - The grilled beef heart was tender with a sour and spicy sauce. 🐟 SALMÓN ANDINO - Not a hint of fishiness. I’ve never been a fan of cooked salmon; it always seemed to have a weird taste. Today, the doneness was on the median, and the inside was very tender. I couldn’t stop praising it. 🐑 TACU SECO DE CORDERO - The lamb leg was tender and melted in the mouth. The rice cake was completely soaked in meat juices, very fragrant, but the seasoning was just okay. The appetizers were crispy when baked; was it fried corn? The restaurant’s decor and service were fine, but it was a bit noisy due to the crowd. First time visiting a store with zero negative reviews and no disappointment. Though it wasn’t particularly stunning. It’s best to make a reservation; walk-ins might have to wait a long time. #CarbsForThePeople #WashingtonDC #WashingtonCherryBlossoms #SeekingFlavorsInSmallTowns #DMVFood #PeruvianCuisine #DMVRestaurantHopping
