Portland & Acadia Guide: Recommendations & Places to Avoid đâ ď¸
Food Edition Portland Street&Co (): Avoid at All Costs â𤥠To put it straight: Do NOT stop for meals in Portland when passing through. It feels like every restaurant in this city has a long wait at nightâand theyâre overpriced yet terrible. We went to Street&Co: waited 2 hours, ate in 10 minutes. The portions were shockingly small, and the taste was ridiculously bad. Yosaku: Avoid at All Costs â𤥠We ended up here because there was nowhere else to eat. The only upside is it has parking, but the food was indescribable. I ordered udon noodlesâit was so salty it made me question my life choices⌠The sashimi was bad too. In short, Portland basically gave us zero good food memories. Bar Harbor Galyn's : Avoid at All Costs â𤥠Bar Harbor is just as crowded with people. We got takeout from Galyn's, and it tasted terribleâdefinitely not recommended. The Stadium & Jordan Pond Ice Cream ): Highly Recommended â đ Letâs be real, this spot was pretty good. We ordered lattes, lobster rolls, and clam chowderâall tasted great! The clam chowder is a must-try; it was way better than expected. Jordan Pondâs blueberry and Oreo ice cream flavors are delicious too! The Travelin Lobster (, Near Bar Harbor): Decent â đ You can stop here for a meal when driving into or out of the mountainsâitâs passable. Personally, I think their Lazy Lobster is better than the lobster roll. The Lazy Lobster uses claw meat, which is much tenderer. For those who arenât crazy about lobster: bring some instant noodles with you. Letâs be honest, Maine feels like a total food desert. #PortlandEats #PortlandRamen #JapaneseRamen #AnimeNostalgia #StudentFoodDiary #HiddenGemRestaurant
