It offers panoramic views of the city and is also a popular spot for outdoor picnics! 🧺 ✨The Famous Columbia River GorgeDrive east from Portland along the Columbia River, and you’ll find countless attractions—choose to visit based on your schedule! 🚗🎈Vista HouseA well-known observation deck with great views! 🌉🎈Multnomah FallsPortland’s iconic “city postcard”—it’s magnificent, but always crowded! 🌊There are many other waterfalls along the way; if you have time and interest, you can visit them too, including:Latourell Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Coopey Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Horsetail Falls, and Hood River! 💧🎈Rowena Crest ViewpointThis is also an internet-famous viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the entire Columbia River Gorge! 📸🎈Tom McCall Preserve (Wildflowers in May-June)It’s incredibly beautiful when wildflowers bloom in late spring and early summer. However, rattlesnakes live here—while attacks are rarely reported, always stay safe! 🐍🌸🎈Mt. Hood VolcanoAnother famous “city icon”! Go skiing here in winter, or hike a trail to enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery in summer. Personally, I highly recommend the Ramona Falls trail! ⛷️🥾 ✨More Distant Check-in Spots from Portland:🎈Silver FallsYet another waterfall! It’s about 60 miles south of Portland, with breathtaking scenery—worth a visit if you have time! 🌊🎈Tillamook CreameryA famous dairy factory, and it’s huge! The ice cream and grilled cheese sandwiches at the food court come highly recommended. The small town is also beautiful, but it gets extremely crowded during peak season! 🏖️ (Of course, Portland has many other fun spots—feel free to add more in the comments!) ❤️❤️ #USA #OverseasLife #Portland #TravelGuide #Travel
