Post 1917 Steakhouse, Lexington π₯©β¨
After a four-month soft opening in the heart of Lexington, Post 1917 officially opened in October π. Our group of six gathered for a dinner and chose this spot to try it out π½οΈ. When ordering, we consulted the server about the dishes, including recommendations for steak doneness, and ultimately selected the tomahawk steak, porterhouse steak, steak frites, along with salads, fries, and various sides π₯π. There was a slight amount left over after eatingβportions should be moderate for those with average appetites. All steaks were prepared medium rare π₯. In terms of flavor, the porterhouse performed best, with differences in texture and aroma between its various cuts π. Among the sides, the fried cauliflower had a slightly crispy exterior and was fully cooked inside, offering good flavor and suitable for sharing π. The Brussels sprouts were overly sweet and not recommended π«. The 1917 salad was consistently good, while the other dishes didnβt stand out notably. The space is designed with a dark color palette, creating a somewhat retro and serene atmosphere π€β¨. Two hanging lamps, inside and outside, add visual appeal π‘. Service was prompt and professional πββοΈπ―. Overall, the steaks were steady in performance with no obvious flaws, but they also lacked memorable highlights βοΈ. Compared to similar restaurants, the value-for-money ratio didnβt stand out πΈ. Without ordering alcoholic drinks, the per-person cost was around $100 π΅. #Boston #Lexington #FoodExploration #Food
